French horn

Kristina was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and is currently in her first year of postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music, studying French horn. She is an ABRSM Scholar.

As an RCM student, Kristina has performed in various concerts, leading on principal horn for Antonio Pappano, Martyn Brabbins and Thomas Zehetmair.

In March 2019, she was chosen to perform Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Four Winds, conducted by Thomas Zehetmair. In September 2019, she was awarded a place on the English National Opera Evolve scheme, allowing students to sit alongside professional players of the ENO.

When not playing the French horn, Kristina enjoys gardening in her grandmother’s fruit garden in Bulgaria and mountaineering.
