Matt enjoys a varied career as a freelance clarinettist. He has performed as guest principal with some of the UK’s leading orchestras, including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
As a soloist, he won 1st prize in the wind and brass section of the 2018 Tunbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists Competition, and has recently performed concertos by Mozart and Copland.
From 2016-2020, Matt studied at the Royal College of Music, where his BMus degree was generously supported by the Laurence Winston Scholarship. Aside from music, Matt likes to cycle, standup paddleboard and binge-watch Netflix series.
