Nina Kiva is currently studying towards a Masters degree at the Royal College of Music with Melissa Phelps. She recently graduated from the conservatoire with a first class degree, and is generously supported by a Martin Harris scholarship and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
Nina has sat as principal and co-principal cellist of the European Union Youth Orchestra. She has also performed with the English National Opera, BBC Symphony Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra.
In addition to her orchestral playing, Nina has performed with various chamber groups in venues such as the Wigmore Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, St. James’s Palace, and Cadogan Hall. She has received coaching from Pinchas Zukermann and Nicola Benedetti. She has performed at various venues in London and at the UK Embassies in Washington DC, Beijing, and Delhi.
Nina recently performed Mendelssohn’s Octet alongside other RCM students and Maxim Vengerov. Nina has also participated in many masterclasses with Bruno Delepelaire, Guy Johnston, Johannes Goritzki, Zuill Bailey and Torleif Thedéen
