Petr Sedlák is a Czech-born bassoonist currently studying for his Master of Music at the Royal College of Music. He grew up in a small town in the heart of the Czech Republic where he learned recorder, oboe, and then bassoon.
Before joining the Brno Conservatoire, Petr was a keen journalist at a local student newspaper and was also a professional handball player. He graduated from Brno in 2017 and moved to London shortly afterwards. He is a laureate of several international solo and chamber competitions and a member of the successful Slavic Trio.
