Weber’s Freischütz was a smash hit opera performed all over Europe. The overture includes many if its unforgettable themes. Brahms’s D major serenade is really a symphony in disguise with its six movements ranging from classical simplicity through beautiful to an irresistible driving conclusion. Alongside these works you’ll be able to hear a sensational group of Strauss’ orchestral songs, sung by the supremely talented rising star, Rowan Pierce.
